Organic Bacillus thuringiensis insecticide – special leek worms

This organic insecticide based on Bacillus thuringiensis (or BTK) acts specifically on lepidopteran caterpillars, notably leek worms, as well as those of garlic, onion and shallot. Once ingested, the larvae stop feeding and die within a few days. This caterpillar treatment is extremely selective, safe for other insects, pets and the environment.

It is an effective solution against many pests: box tree moth insecticide, pine processionary caterpillar insecticide, fruit and vegetable worms. Its bacillus-based formula works only by ingestion, avoiding any harmful collateral effects.

Ideal for gardeners who want to preserve biodiversity, this organic insecticide is approved for organic farming. It can be applied as soon as larvae appear, with a standard sprayer.

🌿 How to use Bacillus thuringiensis insecticide?

  • Pre-harvest interval: 5 days
  • Dosage: 1 g/L of water
  • First dilute in a small amount of water, shake, top up to volume, then spray
  • Thoroughly wet all the foliage, on both sides
  • Shake the mixture regularly to maintain effectiveness

💡 Measuring scoop included in the box – capacity: approx. 4 g

📆 When should you use this treatment against leek worms?

Act as soon as larvae appear. Bacillus thuringiensis is an insecticide that works best at the start of an infestation. It is recommended to treat in the evening or in overcast weather to preserve the active bacteria.
