This pheromone is used with a suitable trap, such as the Diablex. You can also use a yellow chromatic trap; you would then stick the pheromone directly onto it.
Warning: this pheromone will work only on Halyomorpha halys; do not confuse it with the common stink bug, which is very similar and easy to find. It is therefore important to identify it correctly.
This is a pest that causes major damage to apple trees, peach trees, pear trees, and hazelnut trees. It was spotted in France in 2012. It is a polyphagous insect that attacks a multitude of plants:
Wheat, sunflower, corn, soybeans, cherries, apricots, kiwis, peaches, pears, apples, plums, grapes, hazelnuts, but also tomatoes, eggplants, peppers, cabbages, zucchini, peas, beans, strawberries, raspberries, blackberries.
Losses can reach up to 50% of the harvest.
The brown marmorated stink bug is a piercing-sucking insect that causes damage to plant organs. During the puncture, digestive enzymes injected into the plant cause necrosis around the puncture site. H. halys is extremely polyphagous and can cause damage with a high economic impact, especially when it attacks fruit: deformation, discoloration, appearance of corky areas under the epidermis.
