The codling moth of apples and pears (Cydia pomonella) is a nocturnal moth whose larvae burrow into the fruit to feed. This causes rot, premature drop and makes the fruit inedible. A single moth can lay up to 80 eggs!

How to use Decamp’ pheromones

The capsules are supplied in airtight sachets. Once opened, they release their attractant for 4 to 6 weeks.

• Do not touch the capsule with bare hands: pour directly into the trap’s capsule-holder basket, or onto the sticky board.
• Only 1 capsule per trap — never mix several pheromones.
• Duration of action: 4 to 6 weeks.
• Period of use: from April to August, after flowering (post-flowering stage).
• Recommended density: 1 to 2 traps per tree, to be hung at human height in an open area.
