This kit will allow you to trap the pine processionary very easily. Everything is brought together in one single kit, very simple to use.

Where to place your pine processionary pheromone trap kit?

Using gloves, place the pheromone in the trap (an assembly guide for the pheromone trap is provided). Then place 1 trap per pine (at about 2 m high), or 4 to 8 traps per hectare. The pheromone lasts 10 weeks. Put the second pheromone in the freezer until the first one is finished (at the end of the 10 weeks). Clean your trap regularly to prevent a build-up of moths.

What to do if you capture pine processionary moths?

As soon as you capture more than 3 moths, your pines are heavily infested. Don’t panic—effective solutions are available, and above all, very effective.

1 month after capture:

• Use a caterpillar treatment based on Bacillus Thuringiensis

In January:

• Install a processionary caterpillar trap

In autumn:

• Place tit nest boxes in your pines; they love caterpillars!
