What to do with the caterpillars trapped in the bags?

First of all, you must carefully equip yourself before handling the trap or the bag, as the caterpillars are very irritating. You must wear gloves and a mask. From May onwards (varies by region), you can remove the bag. You must seal it tightly and throw it in a household waste bin. You can also contact your town hall, as some municipalities arrange a collection for pine processionary caterpillars.

To preserve the qualities of this bag and protect it from bad weather, and to avoid any risk of puncturing, we recommend changing it every year, and/or installing it only from November to May, when the caterpillars come down.
